Welcome to Jr. High School
The secondary section of the British American School offers a trilingual and multicultural education which enriches the official SEP program using a digital curriculum provided by Knotion. This learning platform is an award winning enterprise with over 20 years’ experience in educational ecosystems. The curriculum is both SEP approved in Spanish, and Common Core aligned in English. It is based on the Millennial goals of the United Nations.
All programs are provided on an Ipad which students use at different times throughout the school day. Lessons are led by the teachers, yet allow students to work both independently and collaboratively, learning, solving and creating on their own and in teams.
In addition to the material contained on the tablet, all levels of junior high participate in Reading and Math workshops. We focus on producing high quality writers and enthusiastic readers. Thanks to the 80,000 books available in the platform’s library, our students have a vast array of titles at their fingertips.
We continue to enrich the bilingual nature of our school by offering subjects which are pertinent to Mexico and Mathematics in Spanish, while subjects of a more universal nature are offered in English.
